Today I connected my iPad Pro 2020 via HDMI to an external screen and all I see on the screen is practically ant racing/flickering. The content of the iPad only flickers briefly in between. I have tested several HDMI cables. What could be the reason for this?

Hello X-Men
Basic question: What kind of screen is it and how long is your HDMI cable? Which model of Apple adapter do you have (it says Axxxx on the back of the block)?
We have experienced that with some PC screens the signal is not always transmitted. High-quality cables longer than 5 m are also a problem for the adapter. The new one (A2119) is supposed to support 4K, but the old one does not. Regarding copy protection HDCP, it is not entirely clear which standards this has, at least I have not found it out from the official data. Maybe someone from the community can help.

no problem - the powerbook 2016 works perfectly for me.
