The audio cable from the headset is one metre long. But then it plugs into a small controller (where you can mute the microphone, adjust the volume, etc.) and from the controller it has a two-metre USB cable. So the total length is three metres. If the audio cable is plugged directly into the smartphone, PS4 controller, PC, etc., then it cannot be muted (except for removing the microphone, which is possible) and the "7.1" is missing. I recently bought the headset and am very satisfied.

If you play with a PS4, for example, you can use a 3-4 m cable for your controller and then connect the headset to the controller, but then you won't benefit from 7.1 Virtual Surround. However, for me at least, it is completely sufficient without 7.1.
