i run the 3950x at 4.1GHz (all core), using G.skill F4-3600C16-16GTZN, 1800MHz fabric lock
have fun with it

Due to the architecture of the chip, the most ideal is 3600MHz. (There are plenty of explanations online. Search for "ryzen zen2 infinity fabric")
