The keys for the characters "greater than" and "less than" are normally located on a keyboard between the Shift key and the "Y" key. If these keys are missing on your keyboard, you can also enter the characters using ASCII codes: Press the ALT key and enter 60 for "less than" and 62 for "greater than" on the ten-key pad.
