two versions for 2011:
MacBook Pro (15 inch, early 2011)
MacBook Pro (15 inch, end of 2011)
And
two versions for 2012
Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch (Mid 2012)
Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch Retina Display (Mid 2012)

According to Kingston, all three versions (WITHOUT "Retina") are compatible with:
480GB A400 SATA3 2.5 SSD (7mm height) Part Number: SA400S37/480G
