Stiftung Warentest tested twelve highchairs for children. They allow parents and children to eat at the table at eye level. Only three models are designed to be child-friendly, safe and largely free from harmful substances. The best cost more than 400 euros with accessories. Fortunately, among the good highchairs for children there is also an inexpensive one for less than 100 euros.

Product details
The Kinderkraft Enock wooden children's chair is a versatile 3-in-1 seating solution designed to grow with your child from infancy through the early years. This multifunctional chair transforms from a high chair for infants to a comfortable seat for older children, accommodating users from approximately 6 months up to 10 years of age. Constructed from solid beech wood, the chair measures 49.5 x 45 x 79 cm and weighs 6.4 kg, featuring a timeless beige finish that complements various interior styles. The ergonomic design supports proper spinal development with a contoured backrest that maintains correct posture during meals and activities. Height adjustment is available across five levels for the seating surface, while the footrest offers three adjustment positions for the high chair configuration and four positions for the toddler chair setup. Safety features include 3-point harness systems that can be removed when converting to a standard chair for older children, along with a safety bar for additional security when used at standard tables. The chair meets EN 14988 safety standards for children's seating furniture. The wide, deep seat provides comfortable seating space for children of different ages, while the spacious tray accommodates plates, bowls, and creative activities. For enhanced functionality, the chair can be combined with separately available Calmee rocking seat adapters to create a high rocking chair suitable from birth. The lightweight construction allows for easy mobility between rooms, and the smooth wooden surfaces can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth followed by dry wiping. This durable wooden chair transitions through three configurations: high chair for children from 6 months to approximately 36 months (up to 15 kg), toddler chair for children from 36 months onward, and standard chair for older children up to 35 kg maximum weight capacity.
