The DOWNPASS is a so-called zero-tolerance standard. Down and feathers from waterfowl (geese and ducks), which are used as full material in bedding, clothing and outdoor equipment, can be checked, tested and audited according to such standards. Specifically, this means that no goods from live animals (excluding moulting and live plucking) or from animals reared for foie gras production are accepted as full material. In addition, the rearing of the animals must be monitored.
