Plustek OpticFilm 8300i Ai
Apparently Plustek has released the OpticFilm 8300i Ai scanner. Will digitec offer it? If so, when and for how much? Thank you!

Does anyone know of a flatbed scanner that can be operated directly with the iPad or iPhone?

I am looking for a hand-held scanner that is as inexpensive as possible, which can scan barcodes AND OCR / text and then, for example, note them on an Excel file. Thank you for your help!

Yes, there are lists online. But the one from Apple (Airprint) *¹ has mixed printers and the one for Linux *² is not updated (see Issues). And you have to actively compare them. Isn't it at least stated on the packaging whether it is compatible with Mac? The problem is that driverless technologies (AirScan, IPP) are now also widespread with scanners, but you don't know which device supports what and whether it supports it at all, it's not stated anywhere online. *¹ https://support.apple.com/en-us... *² https://github.com/alexpevzne...

Hello, I am looking for a (hand-held) scanner with which I can scan photos in high resolution directly from the photo album without having to take out every photo. Most scanners only have 600dpi resolution. Storage can be via USB or SD card. This scanner would be ideal, is there something like this for glued-in photos? https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/reflecta-x33-scan-sd-karte-scanner-13113435?ip=Reflecta+x33-Scan

So you don't have to do a lot of research: Epson is almost completely supported, Brother and I.R.I.S practically nothing works, Canon is 50/50 for complete or good support, Fujitsu has almost everything on "good", which doesn't mean much (mine here switches randomly between document and image mode). HP you also have to install the Hplip, then almost everything from them works. Link to check for yourself: http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs....

I would like to buy a negative and slide scanner in the price range up to approx. CHF 400. If I could still scan photos with it, that would be ideal. Who can recommend a device to me? Many thanks in advance for any tips.

@digitech.ch: What is the technical difference between these two scanners, one with the manufacturer's number B11B198032 and one with the number B11B198033, or are they both the same?

I am looking for a scanner (flatbed) that also works for Wondows11? Which ones are they? Thank you very much.

I would like to buy a new (have the Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500) ADF scanner. I would choose one of the following three : - Brother ADS-2800W + Ethernet - ADS-2700W + Ethernet + 48Bit - Fujitsu ScanSnap ix1600 very good experience with ix500! the ix500 was a top device, so I would go for the successor. Mainly I need to scan A4 and A5 pages duplex OCR. That's what they all do. Then I would scan my banana box full of photos. So I thought the 48bit of the 2700W would be better suited. I don't really care if it's 35 or 40ppm. With the ix500, I fed the feeder again and again during operation. In the meantime, for example, I removed the bostiches, bent over the dog-ears, etc ... I like Ethernet better for integration into the company network (also works via WiFi, but WiFi is always like that ...). Now for the questions : I MUST scan sales slips (restaurants, Migros, Bauhaus, ...)! Which scanner can scan these thin slips? And how many of them can I insert ? Who has already scanned photos? I am aware that these cannot be compared with today's digital photos! Are you satisfied with the result? You don't look at the photos that often, it's more about the memory (no art photos!). The 2800W is newer than the 2700W but the only difference seems to be 40 vs. 35 ppm and 30 to 48 bits! So a new model? faster but less colour depth? Am I missing something?

Does anyone know of a good document scanner for the office like the Brother ADS 2700W, ADS 2800W or the Fujitsu ScanSnap IX1500 where the software works "FULLY" under OSX Catalina? The Fujitsu is supposed to run with the ScanSnap Home software, but the rest like scanning invoices is not working because of 64bit etc. according to the support page. https://www.fujitsu.com/global...

I would like to scan more than 3,000 postcards, preferably not each one individually by hand. Radio amateurs collect so-called QSL cards, which are a kind of individual postcards on which you write down the connection data and confirm it to the other station. I now have a few thousand such cards from a deceased radio amateur. I thought about scanning them and tried it once with a Brother ADS-1100W. It would scan each card individually into a TIFF, both sides into the same file. Afterwards I could create a gallery for the web with another software (it works). But scanning each card individually is a bit too much work for me, especially because I don't even know if there are 5,000 or 10,000 cards. There is also the question of whether the small mobile scanner delivers the quality (it has 600 x 600 dpi, which is not bad). The cards are about the size of a US postcard, so slightly smaller than Swiss postcards. The paper quality varies (smooth, glossy, matt, plain paper). I have 347 cards in one folder alone, each from a different country - you can take a trip around the world by leafing through the folder. Does anyone have a tip for a scanner that is more efficient than my small mobile scanner?

Hello, does anyone know of a printer with a scanner with similar functions to ScanSnap scanner? I don't want to buy 2 devices and am looking for something combined. I would like to store scanned documents automatically, preferably in Dropbox or something, but mainly in the cloud. Thanks a lot

Hello, I am looking for a scanner for bound documents. Some of the documents are a bit larger than A4, approx. 35x25 cm. It doesn't have to be a colour scanner.

Do you have a tip? I am looking for a scanner that is MOBILE and can scan directly to the Mac/computer. So far I've only found devices that have wifi, but save to an internal memory card first and can only be transferred via wifi in a second step. TOO CUMBERSOME. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

For an easy allocation of documents to processes we are looking for a scanner which has the following features! - Scanning a batch of documents - A new document starts with a barcode on it - The file name contains the content of the barcode The whole thing should work without additional software if possible.

Hello Are there scanners that can store data directly on a NAS via SMB? If so, how do I recognise this in the product description? Greetings

Hello Community My question is, is there a scanner that can do authentication via badge and AD? In addition, the document name should be able to be predefined as a profile. It would be ideal if the scanners could be controlled centrally.

We need a scanner at home to digitise our slides/negative strips... Is there a product you can recommend that is not too expensive?

Good day, does anyone have experience with flatbed scanners in A3 format? Which device is particularly suitable for scanning pictures? What should be the minimum dpi of the scanner?

Hello Digitec Community, I would like to save and organise all my documents (invoices, letters, etc.) digitally so that I can search through them better and faster. Does anyone already have practical experience with the digitisation of documents (especially in the area of invoices)? Many thanks and best regards Yves

I want to digitise a larger stock of slides 6 x 6cm framed under glass and also KB in a very good quality. Which current devices are in use and with what experience?
2
Do all new flatbed scanners have an OCR function as standard? It is not mentioned in the technical descriptions.

I need to convert some books into PDFs. So far I have used a simple flatbed scanner (Canon), which usually produced good results (but not any more after I dropped it). But the thick and stubborn books sometimes make it difficult. Has anyone had any experience with a Microtek XT-3300 or Plustek 3800 or similar? (I can't spend more than Fr. 300). Thanks for any constructive answers.
