Trees stand like giants, majestic, evergreen, and often shrouded in mist – the coastal redwoods, also known as coastal sequoias. They grow exclusively along the coasts of Northern California and Oregon, where a mild, moist climate prevails and the frequent coastal fog provides the trees with ample water. They can reach heights of over 110 meters, making them some of the tallest living trees in the world.
