The first edition of the travel guide "101 Safaris" was published in 2008 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the publishing house. Five years later, the third edition of this guide appears, showcasing a selection of the most beautiful trips and lodges in Southern and Eastern Africa. The book offers many travel tips for classic safari destinations such as South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia. Lesser-known destinations include Mozambique, Ethiopia, as well as Rwanda and Uganda, which are primarily known for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking. New information has been added about the highlights in Zimbabwe, where tourism is experiencing a resurgence despite all the political challenges. The guide is richly illustrated with over 250 impressive color photographs. All 101 spots are marked on overview maps in the inside flaps. A wildlife observation calendar is also included.
