This extensive and affordable collection of copy templates includes 120 reading and writing exercises with word families. It serves as targeted reading training and promotes spelling development. The templates can be used for entire classes as well as for individual support, including for writing exercises and dictations. Each exercise consists of at least three steps: 1. Compare words and mark the common root, 2. Insert words into a cloze text, which requires careful reading, 3. Write down words categorized by building blocks. This familiarizes children with the root principle, helping them move away from purely phonetic writing. Only word families with specific characteristics (double consonants, silent 'h', or derivations) are selected.
