Four young people are fighting against the omnipresence of surveillance in New York, against the beginning of the end of our freedom. They become increasingly lost in a funhouse of virtuality, fiction, and reality. In the end, there are three dead and a decision to be made. New York. Ten years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, the city has returned to normalcy, and a new World Trade Center is being built - the 1WTC. Tom, a former employee of the US military intelligence, is designing the foundation of the building. His girlfriend Jennifer, a gallery owner, meets the German artist Mikael Mikael in the library, who hires her for his film project: Together with the mysterious hacker Asanta, they document the pervasive surveillance in the city. When Tom receives a mysterious assignment from his former superiors, the line between simulation and reality begins to blur.
