Honestly: I enjoy being a farmer. That certainly doesn’t mean that I dance around all day with a blissful smile and singing happily. But one thing is clear: If it’s true that farmer parents place a heavy stone on their newborns' bellies to teach them to complain and whine early on, then my parents must have forgotten. Or maybe the stone wasn’t heavy enough. In any case, I’m not a farmer who likes to complain. On the contrary. I’m someone who enjoys sharing how beautiful life on the farm can be. There are happy days, hours, minutes, and seconds. And that’s what it’s all about, for a lifetime. One shouldn’t miss them, let them pass by unexperienced. One should enjoy them. Just stop for a moment. Pause. Look. Just like I do when I go to fetch the cows.
