The question of questioning time, or rather: the question of whether there is a right to forgo the concept of time, is the concern of this book by François Jullien. Once again, he takes the seemingly indirect route through China to make this surprising question plausible. For it is not an abstract concept of time, nor a strict duality of beginning and end that characterizes Chinese thinking, but rather season, process, moment, opportunity, and transition.
