Product details

The innovative concept of this guide has proven effective. Since the first edition is sold out, we have taken the opportunity to create a revised, updated, and expanded second edition. Beginning with human sketches for anatomy aimed at physicians not only in vascular medicine, the book provides quick orientation assistance. From vascular anatomy to topographical charts for differential diagnosis, everything is presented simply and clearly. The guide from symptom to (vascular) problem is extremely helpful for initial orientation. From headaches to open leg ulcers, the reader receives support and systematic guidance at the start of their examination. The special section is a novelty in the composition of a textbook: every physician confronted with vascular patients will find their chapter on diagnostics and therapy for each entity, complete with differentiated practical tips for daily routine and literature recommendations. The foundational knowledge for all leads through the care chain from the green section for general practitioners (or specialists from other fields, as well as students) to the yellow section for outpatient specialists. The red section finally serves the inpatient colleague, guiding them from patient admission and care to intervention and ultimately discharge as a clear orientation thread. Due to the overarching significance of anticoagulant medications, a corresponding chapter has been added. Based on the treatment pathways, targeted diagnosis and therapy can be achieved, while unnecessary detours can be avoided. Current topics, such as direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs), are systematically integrated: quick training on the latest developments.
