The small wax moth (Achroia grisella) is a butterfly from the family Pyralidae. The adults have silvery-gray, matte wings and reach a wingspan of 10 to 25 millimeters. The hindwings are dirty gray with a silvery sheen and have long fringed scales along the trailing edge. The small wax moth has a paired tympanal organ located obliquely dorsorostral on the ventral side of the first abdominal segment.
