This book is the officially approved German translation of the ACR BI-RADS® Atlas in its fifth edition. The ACR BI-RADS® Atlas is a quality assurance tool designed to standardize reporting, aiming to reduce ambiguities in mammography findings and recommendations for further action. It makes the results from institutions and individual interpreters more comparable and easier to monitor, thereby improving the quality of care for patients.

Content: The ACR BI-RADS® Atlas encompasses the spectrum of established and scientifically validated breast imaging practices and consists of four parts: mammography, breast sonography, breast magnetic resonance imaging, and follow-up and outcome monitoring, which addresses clinically relevant audits and extended audits of medical quality control.
