Adam Josef Cüppers (June 14, 1850 in Doveren, District of Erkelenz; July 20, 1936 in Ratingen) was a German educator and writer. Adam Josef Cüppers attended the elementary school in his hometown of Doveren. After being appointed as a schoolmaster at the age of 16, he completed his teacher training at the teacher seminar in Kempen from 1869 to 1871. From 1871 to 1874, he was a teacher at the municipal elementary school in Straelen. In 1872, he passed the secondary school teacher examination; from 1874 to 1876, he worked as a teacher at a secondary school in Borbeck. From 1876, he lived in Ratingen; from 1878 until his retirement, he was the principal of the local Catholic city school. Additionally, since 1892, he led the Ratingen adult education school and was actively involved in the founding of the city library and community college.
