Adam Ondra (February 5, 1993, in Brno) is a Czech sport climber. He was already among the world's elite at the age of 13. Ondra is primarily known for his achievements in rock climbing. Due to his age, he was only allowed to compete in the men's category starting in 2009, where he won the silver medal in lead climbing and the overall World Cup in 2009. Encouraged by his climbing parents, Adam Ondra began climbing at the age of six. In 2006, at the age of 13, he completed a route graded 11 (9a on the French difficulty scale). He later achieved further successes on some of the hardest routes in the world, such as La Rambla and Action Directe, as well as completing difficult first ascents.
