Adam Taubitz (October 7, 1967, in Katowice) is a German violinist, trumpeter, guitarist, and composer of classical music and jazz. At the age of five, Taubitz received his first violin lessons from his father. He made his debut as a soloist with the Silesian Philharmonic at the age of eleven and later continued his studies in Freiburg im Breisgau with Wolfgang Marschner. Taubitz has won numerous competitions, including those held by Tibor Varga in Sion, Nicolo Paganini in Genoa, and the Ludwig Spohr Competition in Freiburg. In 1989, he became the principal concertmaster of the Basel Symphony Orchestra under Nello Santi. In 1992, he took over the artistic direction of the Chamber Symphony Basel and from 1994 to 1996, he led the Camerata de Sa Nostra in Palma de Mallorca.
