Adolf Addi Furler (March 21, 1933 in Berlin; August 30, 2000 in Cologne) was a German sports journalist. He joined WDR in 1959 as a news and program presenter. Since 1961, he was one of the first presenters of the ARD television program Sportschau, alongside Dieter Adler and Ernst Huberty, making his last appearance in its 5000th edition in 1995. The trotter breeder and amateur harness racer was a recognized expert in equestrian sports and is the inventor of the award Galloper of the Year. From 1962 to 1965, he served as chief reporter at Deutsche Welle. Additionally, Furler was a speaker in numerous television documentaries and contributed as a voice actor in about 100 feature films.
