Please note that the content of this book mainly consists of articles that are available online from Wikipedia or other free sources. Adele Duttweiler-Bertschi (December 29, 1892, in Horgen; May 27, 1990) was the wife of Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler since 1913. After completing primary school in Horgen, Adele undertook the then-mandatory Welschland year for young women. She then worked as an employee at ETH Zurich. The wedding with Gottlieb Duttweiler took place on March 29, 1913. This marks the beginning of the entirely unusual life and work partnership of two people, whose contributions significantly shaped the face of Switzerland in the twentieth century. Adele Duttweiler-Bertschi was her husband's partner and a strong woman in the background, who greatly influenced her husband's work.
