Adelgunde Mertensacker (born 1940 in Werl-Büderich) is a professor of educational sciences, as well as the party chair of the national-conservative minor party Christian Center and president of the International Resistance Movement Against Islam. In 1985, she was dismissed from her university position following protests from students. However, her professorship in the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Music Westfalen-Lippe (Dortmund Institute) was not revoked. Additionally, she was the head of the music teacher seminar and a member of the state examination board for the institutes in Detmold, Münster, and Dortmund.
