The noble seat of Kirchberg is a ruined castle in Kirchberg an der Iller in the Upper Swabian district of Biberach. The former castle, of which nothing remains, was located on the Danube-Iller-Rhine Limes. On the opposite side of the Iller Valley to the east, approximately ten kilometers away in a straight line, was the late antique cohort fort Caelius Mons. Today, the site of the noble seat of Kirchberg is home to the church, the rectory, and the kindergarten of the independent municipality. The complex is said to have been built in 1244 by the Lords of Kirchberg.
