Adolf Heitmann (September 12, 1858, in Diesdorf (Altmark); December 16, 1946, in Schleibnitz) was a German educator and writer. Heitmann was born the son of a farmer. After attending the elementary school in his birthplace, he was trained at a teacher training college from 1876 to 1878. In 1878, he took up his first position as a teacher in Pöhlde. He then became a teacher at the Salbker School. He remained in Salbke until he became a teacher in Altenweddingen in 1895.
