Adrian Frutiger (May 24, 1928, in Unterseen near Interlaken) is a graphic designer and one of the most significant type designers of the 20th century. He is considered one of the key figures in Swiss typography. Frutiger's book "The Human and His Signs," published in 1978, is regarded as a standard work on sign theory for practical graphic application, such as logo design. The book has been translated and published in seven languages.
