The present book is a revised and expanded edition of the 2006 book, featuring a foreword by Gangaji. Eli shares his experiences with his cancer, which brought him to the brink of death. He reached a point where he was ready to die and ready to live. From this process emerged the "Songs of Freedom," which, as he says, flowed out of him as a resonance. These are verses in poetic form, printed in both English and German in the book. Eli himself describes his book: "Sudden Awakening" is written for those who are ready for the end of their spiritual search. What I convey and share with you is the message of my teacher, Papaji. It is time to end the search and recognize your true nature: your nature as immortal, empty, intelligent love. This book is a messenger.
