Vehicle aerodynamics is primarily empirical in nature and interdisciplinary. This book is oriented around that concept. Wherever possible, general statements about fluid dynamic phenomena are derived from the authors' wealth of experience, and the effects on passenger cars, motorcycles, sports cars, or trucks are described. As a result, the book has become a standard work in the field. The current German 3rd edition is content-wise consolidated and enduring.
