Product details

The theme of the monograph is nonlinear processes, oscillations, resonances, pulsations, and vibrations in literature and culture, which Edmund Burke referred to as sublime and Immanuel Kant as the sublime, while Walter Benjamin used the term "now-time," Theodor W. Adorno referred to it as "the apparition," and Karl Heinz Bohrer described it as "suddenness." These often involve latent processes, as described by Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht, since they reflect the most subtle differences. These imperceptible movements and nuances are specific to those impulses that embody the epiphanic nature of the aesthetics of vibration. In literary events, they represent synoptic processes and interferences. From them, the path leads to the contemporary concept of the sublime and to the aesthetics of vibration, or to interferential aesthetics, which have become key terms of this publication.
