The Berlin working group "Marginalized - Yesterday and Today!" deals with the history of nonconformists and undesirables, particularly focusing on the persecution and extermination of so-called asocial individuals during National Socialism. The book discusses the continuities and breaks in this development, addressing current phenomena through the questions "Who is useful?" and "Who is inferior?" The contributions culminate in an examination of the nature of the stigma "asocial," which fundamentally relies on discriminatory attributions.
