The author, Clemens Reinders, born in 1962 in Rees-Haldern, studied film and photography at the Art Academy in Münster, as well as social sciences at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität. He has been collecting stories from his Lower Rhine homeland for over 20 years. Reinders works as a teacher.
