The work demonstrates how self-organized and personalized value and competency development can be designed using agile learning methods within a strategy-oriented enabling framework, allowing organizations to enhance their performance for the upcoming competition in competencies. No technological revolution has transformed the world of work and learning as radically as digitalization and networking. The competition of the future will be a competition of competencies using agile working methods. Competency development is the education of the future, as employees must prepare today for challenges that do not yet exist, for the use of technologies that have not yet been developed, to solve problems that we do not yet know will arise. Since this cannot be achieved through traditional rote learning, a paradigm shift is necessary.
