Happiness is therefore a life that corresponds to its true nature. We can only achieve this when the mind is healthy and maintains its health over time. The mind should be strong and proactive, while also being beautifully sensitive and able to respond to all situations. It is important to pay attention to one's own body and everything related to it, but without fear. Additionally, one should keep an eye on all the other things that enrich life, without favoring anything in particular, and consciously utilize the gifts of fate without submitting to them.

According to Seneca (4-65 AD), there is only one prerequisite for a happy life: the ability and willingness to do good. He considers only malice and shamefulness to be true evils. Everything else that people regard as "goods" or "evils" is neither good nor bad; only the mind.
