Edd Partain, a dishonorably discharged former major from the US Army, receives a job from Millicent Altford, a well-known money launderer, who has mysteriously lost 1.2 million dollars. Edd, once again broke, sets out to search for it, but he hardly has time to deal with the millions. A series of murders occurs, and Edd Partain encounters old acquaintances from dark times who would have liked to eliminate him back then.
