Product details

Frederick J. Frenger Jr., freshly released from prison, arrives in Miami. There, he sends a Hare Krishna to the afterlife and meets his sister Susan, with whom he engages in a unique platonic marriage. Hoke Moseley from the Miami Police Department finds this relationship, and especially Freddy himself, quite unsettling. A showdown ensues between the carefree psychopath and the persistent cop. 'Miami Blues' is the first book in a four-part series set in Miami featuring Detective Sergeant Hoke Moseley, a cop with ill-fitting dentures, cheap leisure suits, a worn-out credit card, and overly free-spirited views on his profession. The novel was adapted into a film in 1990 starring Alec Baldwin. This is a reissue of the first of the four legendary Hoke Moseley novels - 'Miami Blues', 'New Hope for the Dead', 'Sidewinder', 'How We Die Today'.
