The book contains scene material from international playwrights and authors of the 20th century (Achternbusch, Brecht, Camus, Fassbinder, Frisch, Hauptmann, Hochhuth, Horvath, O'Casey, Pinter, Sartre, Schnitzler, Strindberg, Chekhov, Valentin, Wedekind, Wesker, and others) for actors and beginners, as well as for trainers, acting teachers, coaches, and instructors. The editor provides methodological guidance with advice on how to approach and work with the selected texts. As the first German-language collection, it also offers scene outlines, meaning the emotional development of the characters can be trained over two or more scenes from a play. The anthology significantly expands and complements the collection presented in Volume I with 25 solos for women and men each, 15 male/male duos, and an additional 15 female/female duos.
