Theodor the Rooster finds a crown on the farm and decides to become a king. However, the hens explain to him that one is either born a king or elected by others to be king. So, Theodor tries to win as many votes as possible through concessions and promises in order to become king. But his new life as a king is not as wonderful as he always imagined: he is supposed to settle disputes, administer justice, and advocate for the farm's residents. Theodor learns firsthand that an office one takes on comes with responsibilities and that this work can also be quite exhausting. When a dispute arises on the farm, Theodor must make a decision. A story about power, democracy, and duties.
