Weather influences our appearance and our mood. There is hardly an area of our lives that is not affected by weather or climate. A flooded basement after a thunderstorm in the Odenwald, a flood disaster following Hurricane Katrina in the USA. Whether it's stock prices, headaches, or the price of fruits and vegetables: weather changes the course of our little world just as quickly as major global events. Heat, wind, and downpours! Despite all the science and technology, we are powerless against the forces of weather. So there's plenty of reason to talk about it. But why does weather exist at all? And how does it work?
