Does manipulative music exist? The misunderstood composer Marius Brandt receives sheet music that changes everything for him. But who really holds the conductor's baton? Helmut Krausser revisits his major theme and weaves it into a furious, self-ironic finale. Marius Brandt tries to make a name for himself in the music industry, but no opera house director shows interest in his neotonal works, which are meant to give the genre new social relevance. Increasingly frustrated and plagued by murderous fantasies, Brandt comes across centuries-old, encrypted music recordings that he gradually deciphers. He incorporates parts of these into a commissioned composition he calls "Everything is Fine." At the premiere, mysterious fainting spells occur in the audience. One of the listeners even dies. He will not be the only victim. But no one.
