Ludwig Hohl (1904-1980) would have been one hundred years old on 9 April 2004. His work, at the centre of which are The Notes or Of Unpremature Reconciliation, has left its mark on numerous writers. Friedrich Dürrenmatt wrote about him: "Hohl is a thinker, we others, if we grasp thinking precisely, are not: we avoid thinking in parables. Hollow is necessary, the rest of us are accidental. We document the human condition, Hohl defines it.
