The intention of this book is to outline the system of aesthetics as a critical science of values in its general contours. Thus, this attempt is fundamentally based on the groundwork laid by Kant in the field of aesthetic science. Kant was able to definitively establish the independence of the aesthetic domain and delineate its boundaries, but he ultimately fell short of clarifying the true nature of its content and significance, despite providing some invaluable insights. This is where the significant efforts of later German aesthetics, from Schiller to Hegel and F. Th.
