Product details
When the term "addiction" comes to mind, people often first think of drug addiction, particularly the dependence on illegal narcotics. It is easy to overlook the dependence on legal substances, especially alcohol and medications. A particular challenge is addiction in older age. As a solution, the authors present a variation of case management, which is examined in detail concerning its functions and tasks in relation to the initial problem. Finally, a practical implementation of such a concept is illustrated through a case study. Additionally, a method is developed for how individuals with addiction can act in cooperation with their social environment.
