The focus of the present study is a series of courtly love poems from the 13th and 14th centuries, which were carefully transcribed in the 19th century and published under the title "Liedersaal." Albert Ritter first examines the rhyme technique, language, and verse structure, before moving on in a second part to categorize the texts within the history of this poetic form. This is a meticulously edited reprint of the original edition from 1897.
