The purpose of the data sheets is to facilitate material selection from a technical perspective. This includes information on mechanical properties as well as indications of suitability for products that require approval and monitoring, details on available semi-finished product types and standardized delivery conditions, corrosion resistance, suitability for specific surface treatments, weldability or solderability, machinability, and cold formability. The 7th edition includes data for approximately 60 aluminum, wrought, and cast materials from the relevant European standards.
