Through his many years of work as a specialist in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychosomatics, Boris Krause draws from a deep anthroposophical-medical understanding as well as personal experience with mentally ill individuals. In this book, the author describes essential psychopathological phenomena, including psychoses and trauma-related disorders. To understand their genesis, a sketch is made, based on Rudolf Steiner's research on the reflection process of the soul in the body, to develop an understanding of the complex formation of the human body. This methodologically independent anthroposophical approach to knowledge sheds new light on phenomena that elude neurologically oriented psychology and have thus far been inadequately accessible therapeutically. The author's primary concern is to advance a perspective on individuals with mental illness that encompasses and integrates their spiritual dimension.
