Despite the nearly completed edition of a complete works and letters collection, as well as various biographical accounts, the image of Rudolf Steiner remains obscured. The reasons for this concealment and distortion are manifold. Instead of analyzing these factors, the present text offers a way to gain a "living image" of the spiritual scientist who founded anthroposophy. The substance of the presentation consists of memories from people who experienced and knew Steiner intimately. It is not individual "anecdotes" from encounters with him that are significant, but rather the experiences gained through engagement with his life and work that shape the narrative. Experiences during personal conversations or while listening to a lecture, as long as they convey something substantial about Rudolf Steiner, are of importance.
