Eva, born and raised at the end of the 19th century on a mountain farm in Inneralpbach, marries into Wildschau and gives birth to ten children. She experiences two world wars, loses two sons in the Second World War, buries two infants and a daughter at a young age, and becomes a widow early in life. Despite these hardships, Eva never loses her deep connection to the Mother of Heaven, her positive outlook on life, and her accepting and loving attitude towards her entire environment.

The author narrates her grandmother's life story as a novel and wishes to express gratitude to her and all her female ancestors. The legend of the Wildschau dragon is woven in, retold from a matriarchal perspective.

Herta Blamauer was born and raised in Wildschau. After several years in Kufstein and Salzburg, she eventually settled in Braunau, where she currently lives. There, she worked for over 30 years as a psychotherapist in the public health service and in private practice. Women's issues have always been close to her heart. Since her retirement, she has increasingly focused on matriarchal research, female spirituality, and shamanism. She is married, the mother of a son, and a passionate grandmother. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking, music, and books, as well as exploring Italy from top to bottom.
