Johannes von Buttlar was born as Johannes Freiherr von Buttlar zu Brandenfels in Berlin and grew up in Australia. At a young age, he worked in England as part of the significant Nuffield Research Project at the University of Leeds. After successfully completing the project, he became the director of the Central European Office of the Institute for Scientific Information in Philadelphia. He has received numerous awards for his internationally esteemed scientific work. In addition, Johannes von Buttlar has contributed significantly to various scientific television programs and productions, both in front of and behind the camera, on a national and international level. To date, he has written numerous books that have been translated into over 30 languages. Almost all of his works have appeared on international bestseller lists. Today, he primarily focuses on research related to aging.
