Young Commissioner Sven Maalouf, who has risen from a disadvantaged background, is unexpectedly offered a job in the homicide division by the deputy police chief. However, this career leap comes with a catch: in return, he must monitor his future partner, Rosa Bertram, who comes from a wealthy family. At the same time, a drug-addicted young woman is struck by a bus. Everything appears to be an accident, if not for the testimony of a crazy homeless woman who reports seeing a dark-hooded man. Shortly thereafter, there is another death. Here too, a witness has observed a hooded man. From then on, Maalouf fights on two fronts.
