At first glance, Dina Demille seems like an entirely ordinary woman. The owner of a picturesque Victorian inn in a small Texas town, she has a Shih Tzu named Beast and is the perfect neighbor. But Dina is different: her broom is a deadly weapon, and her inn, designed as a lodging for extraterrestrial visitors, is magical and can think. Now, something with sharp claws and teeth has begun to hunt at night. To protect her neighbors, Dina decides to take action. Soon, she finds herself dealing not only with the attractive ex-soldier and werewolf Sean Evans, but also with the equally fascinating cosmic vampire soldier Arland, who is involved in protecting her inn and its guests.
